Why do I have to dial 9-1-1 in an emergency?  Why can't I call the fire station directly and save time?
The 9-1-1 emergency dispatch system is designed to save valuable seconds.  When you dial 9-1-1, the system identifies the police or fire unit closest to your location and dispatches that unit.  Fire stations are not equipped with the emergency dispatch system, therefore calling the station directly wastes valuable response time.
Why is the Fire Department inspecting my home?
The Residential Rental Inspection Program was moved under the direction of the Department of Fire-Rescue in 2006.
Will the Fire Department provide fire extinguisher training for my business?

The Santa Fe Springs Department of Fire-Rescue offers free fire extinguisher training for businesses. Up to 20 persons can be trained during the hands-on 1-1/2 hour session. To request training, please call Fire Administration at (562) 944-9713 or send us an email to fire@santafesprings.org
