How do I submit a public records request?
Public records requests are handled through the City Clerk’s Office in City Hall. The request can be submitted by using the City's MySFS mobile appication:

What are the requirements to run for City Council?

Individuals interested in running for City Council must meet the following requirements:

A United States citizen

Be at least 18 years of age

A registered voter

A resident of Santa Fe Springs

What is the Brown Act?
The Brown Act is California's open meeting law. The law's intent is that the actions of public commissions, boards and councils in California be taken openly and that their deliberations be conducted openly. (Government Code section 54950.) It is named for its author, former legislator Ralph M. Brown.
