The American Cancer Society Relay for Life is a family-oriented fundraising event where participants can walk or run a track relay style for various hours, visit and join other community members for a great cause, and support the American Cancer Society. Our famous annual citywide event will take place a little differently this year.

With the continued changes in social distancing, facial covering requirements, and the easing of restrictions for public gatherings, the Relay for Life Committee will move forward with a modified version of the event and condense it to a one-day event on Saturday, September 25th from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 pm at the track area of Lake Center Athletic Park (11641 Florence Ave, Santa Fe Springs, CA 90670). The first lap will begin at noon. For the past 19 years, the City of Santa Fe Springs has raised over $100,000 every year.  Although this year is not a full 24-hour event, we are still working hard to raise funds for the American Cancer Society.

Prior to the start of the event, we will honor survivors by hosting a luncheon for cancer survivors beginning at 11:00 a.m. at the above location. If you are a cancer survivor and would like to attend, please contact event coordinator Larry Sandoval at (562) 278-1659 or via email at email Larry

If you have ever thought about how you can make a difference, please join us in our efforts to support the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. To all the community members, please consider joining a team before the event. The day is sure to be filled with fun, happiness, and HOPE!
