Thank you for joining us at the Parks and Recreation Services Division annual Fiestas Patrias Celebration on Friday, September 8th, at Los Nietos Park. The event featured a variety of Mariachi music, folklorico dancing, Mexican food, arts and crafts, game booths and a beer garden hosted by the Santa Fe Springs Firefighters Association. The evening’s ceremony included the traditional “Grito” or shout to ring in the day of independence along with a representative from the Mexican Consulate and the Santa Fe Springs City Council.
