Oversight Board to the Successor Agency Updated: Apr 5, 2022

The Oversight Board was created pursuant to the implementation of Assembly Bill X1 26, which dissolved all redevelopment agencies effective February 1, 2012.  Upon dissolution, Successor Agencies were formed to wind down the former redevelopment agency functions.  The Oversight Board of the Successor Agency to the dissolved Santa Fe Springs Community Development Commission (Santa Fe Springs Successor Agency) is a required function under AB X1 26 and is responsible for overseeing certain fiscal management of former Agency funds and assets other than affordable housing.

Effective July 1, 2018, all 71 RDA's in Los Angeles County were consolidated into one of five Oversight Boards organized by Supervisorial District. Each Consolidated Oversight Board shall have jurisdiction over each Successor Agency located within its borders.
