The City of Santa Fe Springs is excited to announce Mr. Nicholas Razo as the new Assistant City Manager!

Mr. Razo brings with him 20 years of local government experience and 13 years of military service. His experience leading multiple disciplines in cities and extensive knowledge of organizational development, budget management, new technology deployment, and labor and employee relations stood out among the numerous highly qualified candidates considered.

Mr. Razo was born and raised in a small town in the Central Coast of California.  He enlisted in the United States Army at age 18 following in his father's footsteps and was stationed at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii.

He returned from Active Duty to complete his Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and continued his studies to earn his Master of Business Administration. He also completed a doctoral curriculum in management and plans to complete his Dissertation to earn his doctorate degree.

Mr. Razo is a proven collaborator and well versed in organizational citizenship behavior. He also currently serves as a senior leader in the Army National Guard. He has been married 13 years and has two children.

Most recently, Mr. Razo was the Director of Human Resources for the City of Montebello. He served in that role for four years and as the Director of Information Technology for nearly three years.

Mr. Razo will assist the City Manager in overseeing City operations and leading the Santa Fe Springs team to continue delivering outstanding service to our residents and is sure to make Santa Fe Springs an even better place to live, work, and play.
