City of Santa Fe Springs Celebrates 60 Years!

On May 6th, 2017, the City of Santa Fe Springs celebrated its 60 years of being an incorporated City. Festivities will began with the third annual SFS 5K Fun Run/Walk. We had 1,500 registered runners who received a race bib, a collectors 60th participation shirt and a collectors 60th runner's medal. The celebrations continues with a city-wide parade, which began in front of Santa Fe High School and ending in front of the 'Soaring Dreams' sculpture. Despite some showers, we had many residents and visitors sit on the sidewalk and wave at the parade participants.

The 60th Anniversary celebration ended with a Birthday Bash at Town Center Plaza. The kids corner was filled with fun activities, obstacle courses and arts & crafts. Adults got to enjoy the beer & wine garden, a variety of food from various food trucks, along with live entertainment throughout the night.

The City Council and staff would like to thank all of you for your support and participation. Our residents are the people who make Santa Fe Springs terrific.
