The City Attorney performs legal services for the City with the exception of criminal prosecutions, which are handled by the District Attorney of Los Angeles County under contract with the City.

Steven N. Skolnik, City Attorney

Steve Skolnik has been the City Attorney for the City of Santa Fe Springs since 1986. He also has worked for many other cities during his legal career, and is currently the City Attorney for the City of Lakewood.

Steve received his Undergraduate Degree from the University of California at Berkeley; his Law Degree from SouthWestern University. He has been a member of the State Bar of California since 1979.

Steve has specialized in representing local governmental entities throughout his entire legal career.
