Luis M. González, CouncilmemberLuis (Louie) González was first elected to the Santa Fe Springs City Council in 1997. He served as Mayor from 2001-2002, 2005-2006, 2009-2010.
Louie was born and raised in Santa Fe Springs and is a graduate of Santa Fe High School. He obtained a Bachelor's Degree in History from California State University, Fullerton; Master's Degree in Education from Walden University.
Prior to his election to the City Council, Louie served as a Trustee to the Little Lake City School Board. He is a former President of the Association of Mexican American Educators - Little Lake Chapter, former Vice-President of the League of United Latin American Citizens #2859, and member of the Knights of Columbus #3678.
Along with his many councilmember duties, Louie teaches 4th grade in the Norwalk-La Mirada School District. He is Co-Chair of the St. Pius X Fiesta Committee, and coaches girls basketball.
Louie is married and the father of three daughters.

Laurie Rios, CouncilmemberMs. Laurie Rios was appointed to the City Council on July 31, 2012, to serve out the remainder of Councilmember Serrano’s term, which began in December of 2011 and ends in December 2015. Councilmember Rios moved to Santa Fe Springs in 1957 and has served on a variety of City Committees and Commissions over the last 43 years, including the Family and Human Services Advisory Committee (43 years/Chairperson for the last 21 years, and the Sister City Committee (21 years). Councilmember Rios has also served on the City’s Planning Commission for the past twenty years. She is a member of the Little Lake Educational Advancement Foundation (LLEAF), and previously served as an elected Trustee for the Little Lake City School District Board. Councilmember Rios is a retired employee of the Little Lake City School District, where she worked at Jersey Avenue School for 26 years. She has been married to her husband Albert Rios for over 60 years. She is the mother of three children, and has nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. William K. Rounds, Councilmember
William (Bill) K. Rounds is serving his second term as a City Councilmember since being elected in November 2007. Bill was born in Concord, Massachusetts, moving to Santa Fe Springs with his parents in 1951. He attended local schools, graduating from Santa Fe High in 1968. Prior to his election to the City Council, Bill served as a Santa Fe Springs Planning Commissioner for nine years. He has been an active member of the Parks and Recreation, Santa Float, Rose Parade Float, Safe Neighborhood Team and 50th Anniversary Celebration Committees as well as a former Coach and Boardmember for the Metropolitan Little League.
Bill and his wife, Jennifer, have four adult children and six grandchildren.
