Philosophy

The City of Santa Fe Springs Child Development Centers were established to serve families living or working in the City. Programs are planned to promote, support, and enhance the child's optimum development. We believe that children learn and grow best in the context of nurturing relationships and that families are the most important influence on a child's development. This belief is supported by recognizing that each child brings to the program his or her own family values and culture. Our caring staff work together with parents to form partnerships in order to learn more about each child and discover how best to facilitate the child's development. Shared information is combined with current child development research to create an enriching, developmentally appropriate environment that nurtures the social, emotional, physical, intellectual, and creative aspects of the child's development.
